About Royal Africa Holdings

Royal Africa Holdings is a leading diversified investment holding company focused on Africa, boasting a robust portfolio of over $USD 8 billion in development projects, assets, and portfolios across the continent.

In 2010, under the visionary leadership of HRH Prince Ebrahim, the company underwent a transformative period marked by the consolidation of assets, portfolios, and investments within Africa and the global market.

This strategic initiative unified management under a singular holding entity, ushering in a transformative era of corporate governance defined by exceptional transparency and adherence to the highest international standards of practice.

Our conglomerate operates as a cohesive unit, with each company and subsidiary
synergistically contributing to the group’s collective productivity and growth. Rather than engaging in competition, our entities complement one another, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual success.

At Royal Africa Holdings, we actively finance and invest in a diverse range of sectors, including infrastructure, oil and gas, aviation, marine transportation, real estate, banking and finance, hospitality and leisure, retail, and more across the African continent.

Our commitment to sustainable development and ethical business practices underscores every aspect of our operations as we strive to make a lasting impact on the African landscape and beyond.

Structure

Royal Africa Holdings operates under a structured governance system comprising a Board of Directors, shareholders, and independent auditors. The Board oversees the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, where investors with significant stakes in the company influence the agenda. Shareholders elect auditors annually, approve financial reports, and wield additional powers as outlined by law and the company’s constitution.

The Chairman’s and Governance Committee nominate board members who serve three-year terms. They convene six times a year to discuss and vote on company matters. The Executive Board shapes the company’s strategies and approves compensation principles guided by the compensation committee. It also has the authority to establish committees for specific management tasks.

Royal Africa Holdings’ Shared Services department supports various functions, such as Research and Development, Risk Management, Legal, IT, and Marketing, across all divisions and subsidiaries. While focusing on Africa, we maintain strategic interests in Europe, the Middle East, America, and beyond.
